chimney sweep and inspection

Chimney Sweep & Inspection 

  • Chimney Sweep & Level 1 Inspection: $99 1st hour + $20 for each additional completed ½ hour. Cleaning and visual inspection while cleaning.  Usually takes 1-2 hours unless exceptionally dirty or large, or unless fuel burning appliance(s) are connected, or additional fireplace(s) are serviced by the chimney.

  • Chimney Sweep & Level 2 Inspection: $175 1-1/2 hour + $20 for each additional completed ½ hour.  Cleaning with inspection including camera scan, interior/exterior, may include basement, crawlspace, and attic depending on how the chimney is structured to the home. Condition report comes with inspection and any estimates for repair can be requested from the report.  Usually takes 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 hours, unless exceptionally dirty, large or in poor condition, or unless fuel burning appliance(s) are connected, or additional fireplace(s) are serviced by the chimney.

  • Chimney Sweep & Level 3 Inspection: Creosote requires specialized cleaning techniques such as PCR and Rotary Cleaning and costs will vary. An initial service call of $99 1st hour + $20 for each additional completed ½ hour may be required. This service usually takes about 1 hour.  Inspection level needed can be assessed after creosote removal and price can be discussed.

  • Estimates for relining or Fireguard repair are estimated after a Level 2 inspection.  Stainless Steel, Insulated relining.  Fireguard resurfacing or joint correction of interior of flue is sponge application with cement or ceramic.

Prices will be established after a Level 1 or Level 2 inspection, depending on if your intention is to add or replace an appliance with one of dissimilar type, input rating, or efficiency, or chimney conditions.

Chimney Caps, Crowns, Chase Covers

  • Standard flue tile mounted Caps installed typically run $134-$154, unless installed with a cleaning and inspection, then you pay for the price of cap typically $54-$74 and labor is applied to C.S. & Inspection job.

  • Crowns, poured concrete with overhang, need to be measured and estimated. Average prices     run $600 - $2,000

  • Chase covers need to be measured and estimated, average prices typically run $600 - $700
